What is Potassium Iodate ?

Potassium iodate is a colorless or white crystalline powder, odorless. It is soluble in water and potassium iodide aqueous solution, dilute sulfuric acid, insoluble in ethanol. and liquid ammonia. It is used as livestock feed additive, medicinal iodine, as wheat flour treatment agent and dough modifier.
