What is Undecylbenzene ?

Undecylbenzene can be used to treat Escherichia coli (called F+ bacteria) that contain sexual factor F.Sex factor F is a circular DNA molecule that can independently multiply in Escherichia coli.E. coli was treated with a certain concentration of acriflavine, so that acriflavine could not hinder the proliferation of E. coli, but also selectively hinder the replication of F factor.The F+ bacteria cultivated in this way are eventually transformed into F- bacteria.
