Calcium phosphate

is a white crystal or amorphous powder that is stable in air. Insoluble in water,  insoluble in ethanol . There are two types of α and β, β type when heated to 1180°C into α type calcium phosphate, reheated to 1430°C into α' type. Alpha is more soluble in citric acid than beta. It is used in the manufacture of ceramics, opal glass, colored glass, dental binder, plastic stabilizer, acid making agent, polishing powder, syrup clarifying agent, food additive, chemical fertilizer and poultry feed additive.
