What is Oxytetracycline HCl ?

Oxytetracycline hydrochloride is a salt prepared from oxytetracycline taking advantage of the basic dimethylamino group which protonates readily to form the salt in hydrochloric acid solutions. The hydrochloride is the preferred formulation for pharmaceutical applications.
